My work is informed by where I live and what I do. The immersion in the landscape is intrinsic to who I am; walking it; driving it; catching glimpses out of my peripheral vision and the intense emotion as I reflect my internal landscape onto the canvas, creating tension, a conversation. Evoking the wetlands and connecting the parts into the whole of the work, the ecology of the land, until the painting takes on a life, an energy, of its own.
