One can look out over a landscape with a certain amount of detachment, or one can be intwined, intimate and within it. The wetlands inspire dark, murky, reflective spaces that are wild and full of life. Though we might create neat paddocks and fences, water flows and floods, trickles and pools, interconnecting many spaces. My home and studio overlooks our wetlands so I am constantly inspired and distracted. Wetlands are significant areas of biodiversity and the health of our rivers rely on them, so I am always ready to extol the virtues of our wetlands.
