With a wetlands area on my doorstep I invest a significant amount of time appreciating its beauty, biodiversity and environmental significance. I love the murky mud, the intertwined branches, the nests, the shadows and the pools of water. It is both mapping my area, the connections between the spaces, and being immersed in it, surrounded, in a canoe.
